Shawnee Golf Course

Women in Golf Day began as an event in 2021 and celebrates the achievements women have made in the golf industry. Golf is a historically male dominated industry and we want to acknowledge the women who have broken barriers to work in the game of golf. Anyone is welcome to join us for Women in Golf Day and we hope to inspire our young female participants by introducing them to women who work a variety of jobs in the golf industry. We want to demonstrate to our participants that even if they do not play professional golf, there are many avenues golf can provide for someone who finds enjoyment in it.
Women in Golf Day features panelists who will answer questions from an audience, show off their golf skills, and play games with the participants! The event also has games, prizes, and food for those who join us that day.
In 2021 we had Betty Kregor, Kim Shafer, PGA, Kaitlyn Hayes, Heidi Steinert, and Sally Morgan, PGA join us as our featured panelists. 2022 included Jamie Taylor, LPGA, Lindsay Gahm, Erin Horn, PGA, and Lisa Edgmon, PGA! We will have a new exciting panel in 2023!
Our 2023 Women in Golf Day will be at Shawnee Golf Course on July 9th with the main event being featured from 4-6 PM. Registration and games begin at 3 PM and there will be dinner options served after at 6 PM.
